This week will see the next valuable opportunity for Cornwall’s female entrepreneurs to network and receive support from Facebook’s #SheMeansBusiness campaign take place.

Our founder Katherine George will be hosting the next Female Founder Meet-up as part of the national campaign on Friday 22nd June, 10am-12pm, at The Exchange in Wadebridge.

At the networking morning female start-up business owners can get their social media questions answered, meet other female entrepreneurs and share their stories. It will also be a great opportunity to make valuable contacts to boost their businesses.

Social media expert Katherine has been chosen by Facebook and Enterprise Nation to head up the campaign in Cornwall, and is the only Facebook accredited trainer and mentor in the South West. This event will also feature an informal training session led by Katherine, focusing on the latest changes to Facebook and Instagram and how they will affect business marketing.

Katherine said: “We’ve had two successful #SheMeansBusiness meet-ups already this year, one in Falmouth and the other in Truro, and we can’t wait to bring the campaign to North Cornwall. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet inspirational businesswomen from across a range of sectors and share experiences.

“At our Truro event we gave attendees the opportunity to have short one to ones with me to get their social media questions answered, which proved extremely popular! I really don’t want anyone to miss out so this time we will be providing a group training session on the latest changes to Facebook, following my exclusive training at Facebook’s London HQ last month.”

#SheMeansBusiness was launched last year to celebrate female entrepreneurs and to facilitate Facebook and Instagram training to female founders of start-up businesses across the UK. Last year, the campaign provided training to over 10,000 female entrepreneurs.
